I was listening to the Today Program this morning when I heard Lord Kinnock make a proposal that newspapers should be required by law to present an impartial and balanced account of the news.

Reasonably amusing I suppose, though was expecting more.
ReplyDeleteKinnock's proposal is however a shit one, fair and balanced newspapers don't sell for shit - eg the Indie has always made a loss and sells about 10 copies.
What we, the Great British public demand, nay expect, is salacious gossip, casual racism, tits, more gossip, scandal, football, Princess Diana (Queen of Hearts btw) and lots of adverts.
